About the author
Let me tell you something about myself and my background.
Born and educated in Hong Kong, I also received my education from Singapore and the United Kingdom, where I earned a linguistic qualification from the University of Cambridge. For many years, I had taught Language and Communication at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University prior to my coming to the United States.
I am a writer, an artist, and an antique collector. My multimedia art endeavors include oil and acrylic painting, painting in Chinese ink on paper, as well as art glass sculpture.
Writing has always been my passion. Regularly, I contribute weekly articles on various topics to many online journals all over the world. English is not my native language, but I like to write in English nonetheless. To me, writing is not only an effective means of communication, but also an artistic expression of the self. A creative writer is worth all critics. I just love to write about anything that I am interested in.
At an early age, I began to express an interest in writing, and my early works include Nirvana, a novel, How Yo Teach Children To Read , recently published as a perfect bound paperback, and Reading Materials for Polytechnic Students, published by SEAMEO.
Since coming to the United States, I had spent several years as a writer and researcher in an attorney’s office, working with medical doctors and scientists with different ethnic backgrounds, as well as writing abstracts and synopses of their groundbreaking research.
Several years ago, I was afflicted with myasthenia gravis, an autoimmune disease. After years of research on health and wellness, I published NO MIRACLE CURES - Only Wholesome Self-Healing, a book on wellness and natural healing.
Most recently, I have published a novel with an Oriental theme of unrequited love, self-enlightenment, and redemption, exploring the Zen philosophy of life and death, and Nirvana, the ultimate truth of existence: Forever Yin And Yang. My other future writing projects include Reflections of a Bipolar Mind, a spiritual book on the Christian faith and bipolar depression, and Everything You Ever Need to Know about Immigrating to the United States, a survival handbook for new immigrants.
